Poor Jack!

Little Jack just loves to frolic and play outside - on a sunny day, in the rain, or when it's cold and snowing. He doesn't care....but Mommy does. He wanted to go out and ride his tricycle so BADLY one day that he put his hat on and told Mommy he wanted to go out. I told him, "not right now, sweetie. I promise we'll go later when it's warmer." He did NOT like that answer. He pointed his finger at Mommy and said:

"No, Mommy. That's not nice! Do you understand me?
We need to go RIGHT now. Okay?"

Who could resist that little face???
Unfortunately, Mommy HAD to resist because it was FREEZING!! It wasn't quite snowing, but a wet, frosty sleet was coming down...the kind that I knew would freeze overnight making all the sidewalks slippery.
I told Jack he had to wait until later and
THIS was the face I got:

I told him that he should put his hat on the monkey for now and we will go out later. So he lovingly put his warm hat on his favorite monkey, gave him a big kiss, and we got some milk and cookie and watched some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. All was well again.

Kids really DO say the darndest things!
