Lucy Gets Her Ears Pierced!!

Our little Lucy got her ears pierced today!!!

She was very braved and cried for all of about 6 seconds. As soon as he was done, she gave me a big hug and then we walked around the mall. While Jack ate his dinner, she was happy as can be, as if nothing had happened, and kicked happily in her stroller until it was time to go home and she fell asleep in her car.

At least now she doesn't look identical to Jack. ha ha! Her earrings are very cute and pink, just like everything else she wears! :-D

First he cleaned her ears and marked them....

...then he had to make sure they were even on both sides.

As soon as he did the first ear, she realized it was NOT a fun toy and turned bright RED!! She calmed down quickly though...just a few seconds....until he popped her other ear!! ha ha! This time she cried for only a few seconds again...

We got up right away, took a few teary-eyed pics and then took our happy and beautiful baby up to the mall for some dinner with her big brother, who was showing her off. We saw another little girl (maybe 9 months or so) who had her ears pierced too. Jack was very proud of his sister (although he did tell me he wanted earrings too....we won't get into that, though). ha ha ha!
