Jack has had quite a few injuries over the years, but the most common one seems to always end up on his FACE!
He has had one bad "Boo Boo Nose" each year beginning just after he started really walking (and running) well. He has just enough coordination to climb onto big things, but not nearly enough to keep from falling.
2007: Boo Boo Nose #1
(Jack was nearly 2 years old)
This one wasn't all that bad, and this picture was taken after he had healed a few days. However, we weren't really used to him falling all the time just yet, so it was quite a scare for us when he started bleeding everywhere. We got used to his clumsiness VERY fast!

2008: Boo Boo Nose #2
(Jack was nearly 3)
This happened on our trip to Alabama last year....well, it happened right as we were packing up the car to come home. He fell on the brick steps at Grandma and Papa's house and busted his lip open (he still has a big scar on his lip) and busted up his nose. We all watched him fall, but it was like slow motion with all of us running towards him yelling "Noooooo......."
The next day his nose was blue and swollen and he had an awfully puffy black eye!! On the way home, I'm sure people thought we were beating our child in the car. ha ha!

2009: Boo Boo Nose #3
(Jack is 3 1/2)
Jack fell down the last three steps at our apartment this morning and landed face first, right smack on his nose AGAIN! He was trying to help Daddy carry stuff to the car and lost his balance. Daddy was in front of him the whole way until the very end and he just missed him. HA! I guess it was another slow motion moment when you're just not quick enough to save them. Jack is doing fine...it's just small scrapes, nothing major like last time. It looks much worse than it is.

Why did he have to be so clumsy like his Mommy!!? Hopefully Lucy will get some of her grace from Daddy and we won't ever end up at the ER with her. As for Jack, let's just keep his coordination in our prayers.
